Hello all, We can't stand the smell of the new Crown gloss paint it smells for weeks, We are now using water based paint which is not as good, So we are told acrylic water based is better and stays whiter longer is this correct? and can you paint radiators with it, Any advice would be appreciated.

Water based is acrylic, what you need is a a hybrid such as the johnstones aqua gloss and undercoat. You need to spot prime any bare spots with a metal primer, there are WB ones available. Acrylic will stay whitest the longest but the hybrids are far better than the oil based on the yellowing front and provide a better finish, there's loads of info on here about application etc.
