Painting treated wood

Replacing side gates with new treated timber.
Should I wait till the timber dries out alittle before using such as Sadoline Stain to paint and protect.

Ideally yes. Have you already hung the gates? You could paint them indoors then hang them?

Have read that because the timber is damp and fresh with its pressure treatment, it should be left for some 3 mths before painting. ??
