Painting UPVC

You are asking quite a lot to cover a glossy surface Katy but it can be done......Zinsser BIN is an excellent primer that covers PVC well. It's expensive but worth it......I converted brown PVC to white 3 years ago for someone and the product exceeded my expectations. There has been a couple of spots that have peeled but overall I'm surprised and pleased by the result.

Zinsser BIN is not recommended for exteriors. Zinsser bullseye 123 primer and Zinsser allcoat exterior is your best bet, it's a well proven method for external upvc.

Google a company called Kolorbond, they make paint especially for upvc so you can paint it any colour you want.
