Painting wardrobe doors

Oh right, I'd never considered that! I guess if you use oil based primer and water based top coat you avoid the 'yellow' issue you get with oil based top coats? That's one reason we've been using water based satinwood thus far.

Managed, eventually, to get all the hinges and catches off. A horrible combo of painted/varnished on hinges with those really soft flat head brass screws - too much pressure and you mess the head up, not enough and you can't cut through the paint! They're currently sitting in a vinegar and boiling water ice cream tub - the paint seems to just fall off with a finger rub!

With all the time youve spent asking on here you could have rubbed them down all over and got the u/c on! You doing it properly now, or still trying for a quick fix?

But all the time on here is when I'm unable to do diy, such as commuting, or similar!

It'll be done in between a quick fix and properly, as 100% properly would be finished in about 6 months with the time I get!
