Hi
When we moved in, about 8 years ago, we stripped all our panel doors and waxed them with Fiddies (sp?) wax. There was a stain in the wax to make them look darker. Now we are fed up with the dark wood and we want to paint them, or at least get the wood back to its original colour. Could anyone give us any advice on how to prepare the doors first?

Thanks

Scaggs

As ridgeraider says youll really have a job removing the wax.

Thanks for the advice. Maybe I'll put up with the wax.

I usually find wax treatment leaves a nice smooth surface. depends on age and wear though.
