Hello, I've had a search for something similar but can't find anything obvious.

I'm decorating a front room and the walls have recently been skimmed. There's a PVC bay window that has a hard-wood headboard that has been fitted to fit flush against the window wall. Across the width of the bay window the edge of the headboard can be seen to a depth of about an inch.

I'm painting the wooden base of the bay window with white gloss eventually but I'd like the edge of the top board to be the same colour as the walls.

From what I can see my options are:

1. Paint the edge of the headboard with white gloss, even though I think this would look quite pants next to the wall colour.

2. Find an emulsion and gloss the exact same colour for the respective wall/wood.

3. Possibly use paintable wood filler along the edge of the wood and then just use emulsion over the wall and wood (preferred option?)

Any thoughts please? Cheers.
