Hi,

Bought a house mid last year which has a wired alarm fitted (Paragon Plus control box, bunch of PIRs and door sensors, see pic).

It works fine but we're in the process of doing up the house and I'd like to add some more sensors and if possible a remote keypad. I must confess to knowing nothing about alarm systems so am unsure how "standard" these things are. Would it be possible to replace this control box with one that will support the existing wired sensors and maybe allow further extensions wirelessly?

Anyone got any recommendations?

Cheers

Rich

Any standard alarm panel will be fine , if you need extra wireless detectors then you need a hybrid system eg Texecom premier with a ricochet expander , they don't make the paragon anymore and you won't get a keypad for it .
