I am about to order merbau parquet flooring for my husband to lay on to concrete in herringbone pattern with parallel edging and cork expansion strip.
I've read that 1kg/sq m of (probably lecol) adhesive is required, hope that's correct?
Also about how much wastage should I allow for a room measuring 2.66 x 3.4 and a hallway 2.92 x 1.14 with a total area of about 13 sq metres. Compared to ceramic tiling and being herringbone, and in small areas is there more wastage than usual?

With a Lecol5500 16 kg tin on average you can install 10 - 12 sq m.
13 sq m x 10% saw-waste = 14.30 sq m, but in this case it depends if the herrignbone blocks have left or right hand T&G's.
If so, add 1 sq m of left, 1 sq m of right hand blocks.
