Quantity of glue for Merbau Parquet

My husband will be laying some herringbone pattern 15mm thk merbau parquet soon hopefully in our new sitting room extension to match existing.
Could you confirm that he should be using rubber based mastic glue and also how much glue/sq metre should I order for it please.
Also he would be very glad of any useful tips you have as he's never laid any before.

What's the underfloor? Concrete? And (hopefully) no underfloor heating?

any 'modern' parquet adhesive will do, like Lecol, Mapei, Stycobond.
