Evening,
In the process of changing my gaps in bathroom basin.
On the underside of the existing tap is a flexi metal pipe which then joins to the copper pipe etc.
I've changed the cold tap but noticed the flexi pipe is about 1/4 inch from screwing on.
Reason being is that the threaded part that on the tap that passes through the sink is just a touch shorter than the old ones I've taken off.

So is there such an item that I could add so then I can fit the flexi pipe.

Thanks.
I use Screw Fix and Toolstation.

Hi,
Not sure.
The flexi hose has a internal threaded nut one end that screws to the tap part.
The other end also has a internal threaded nut and goes over the copper pipe where there is an olive on the pipe then a nut.
The olive is crimped to the pipe so might end to attach to the other end.

Did this advise you.

Threaded section from tap.
Other end is just copper pipe which has the olive and nut on it.

The olive and nut is the items shown on the end of the photo of the flexi hose

so you have a pipe with a nut and olive from a compression fitting on it, and an internally threaded flexi end with a rubber washer.

You need, either

1) a 15mm to 1/2" male iron with the nut and olive taken off,

or if that's not long enough,

2) the threaded piece of a 15mm compression coupler, with a 15mm radiator tail screwed into it.

Hope that helps.
