Partial removal of new tiles

I had my Bathroom suite renew late last year with new tiles etc.

But now it looks as if I'll have to remove the Bath for a Shower Cubicle, because my Disabled daughter is increasingly finding it difficult to get into the bath.

My question is:
Rather than renew all the tiles again. Could I cut into the joint line of the tiles allround above the bath (3 walls) and remove the lower tiles to create another matching colour scheme down to the floor as we can no longer get the original tiles anywhere.
Doing this with a mini-disc grinder, using a Tile cutting disc or similar to cut through the Grout to protect the tiles above when removing the lower tiles. ??

Or any other tips.
