Parts Help Please

Hello

I'm trying to sell 8 garden spike floods c/w 80W PAR 38 lamps.

They have been in a cupboard for nearly 39 years and the white component of the cable gland has become brittle. Indeed some have broken.

The other plastic parts are in good condition. The body is ABS.

The affected part is shown on the second picture, attached to a rubber washer.

Any suggestions?

Wouldn't a standard cable gland fit and replace the whole thing?

The hole on the fitting is not 20mm ø, but I didn't think of that.

Maybe there are smaller ø glands available?

It's a fairly standard cable clamp as opposed to a stuffing gland.

Perhaps you could take it along to your local CEF and try out various types, they often have them loose in bins.

What is the diameter of the threaded hole?

Pretty sure there PG thread, however, look within the connection box, the Thorn ones often came with a spare gland stuffed inside for use in the second hole.
However Thorn uses Green knobs, your Red knobs look more like Powerlite.
Looking at this then maybe an M16

Thank you everyone for all your help.

I do not have an accurate means of measurement but an old builder's tape sees the thread on the gland at 17-ish mm on the outside.

I think it's PG too.

They are Wickes brand.

There are no spares.
