Morning all, laying a patio. Had a company in to do the dig and lay type 1 so I’m ready to go. It’s 6m x 6m but the fall must be away from the house. Due to existing rainwater drain height, I am unable to achieve the channel drain where I would like so I am splitting the patio left to right with a slimline 40mm channel drain.
My question relates to falls, I can achieve 1/80 on both sides of the channel drain which is great. However, the channel drain will need a 1/100 fall in the opposing / perpendicular direction? That means over. 6m width, it would drop 60mm. How the hell do I make the new tiles meet that top edge of the drain all the way down? It’s a fall on two directions? Won’t that lift one corner of the porcelain tile up and cause trip?
Any advice gratefully received! Just trying to get my head around a fall on two directions.
