Hi I'm after some advice. I've just had an extension built and the builders pre filled a patio area for future. 100mm type 1. I need to raise the patio a further 20mm to a start level to accommodate the 50mm sharp sand/cement and 20mm porcelain tiles to be the required 2 bricks below dpc. Should I add more type 1 or use crusher run? What's cheapest...compacted obviously with a whacker. Thanks in advance

You can buy crushed concrete or hardcore to type 1 spec.

Generally cheaper and I have seen it behave better than "proper" stuff in wet conditions
