Patio over tarmac driveway

Hello
Looking to bring a small part of the driveway in to the garden and would like to carry the patio through. Only a small section 2x3m
Can I lay patio directly on top? Only foot traffic. Really don’t want to have to dig up. Driveway been down 10 years and no issues.
