Paving discolouration

Hi all. I laid my patio last year, just a hardcore/sand base. A good handful of my slabs, which are grey with a slight blue to them and yellowy flashes, have some dark blue discolouration - looking back at when I laid them last year they were the same - I guess I shrugged it off as them needing weathered or something...

Anyway, it’s really bothering me now other than plucking out the ones that are discoloured, is there anything I can do, and does anyone have any idea why? I’m thinking it’s the dye leaking at point of manufacture?

The photo attached does show a problem slab which is clearly more blue but the issue isn’t consistent with that.

I wondered whether a light spray dusting of a similar colour might do the trick (carefully/gradually)?

I'd have a word with suppliers "probably not a lot you can do at the moment"

You need them to send a rep out, they are poor quality and not right.
Colour hasn't mixed properly during manufacture.

Are these from Travis perkins ect or garden centre.

You may be able to simply return dodgy ones if there's only a few and replace, easy enough with a pressed concrete slab.

Hi both, thanks for getting back to me. I’ve attached a similar slab that’s only been covered - circled the front/rear, and it does appear darker on the underside now I look at it.

They were from Dobbies, so a reputable garden centre, though from a company called Kelkay. It’s been 9 months so not sure how I’ll get on arguing if that’s the only option but it’s worth a shot.

After nine months I wouldn't hold out much hope , after 6 months you have to prove they were faulty at time of purchase quite difficult to do .

However being Dobbies maybe a nice email to their customer service might reap rewards

Done also mentioned I have time stamped photos from the time, so that might prove useful. Thanks all.
