This is a project I finished three months ago and has been running very nicely since.

To put it simply, I cool two PC's using water cooling and a central heating pump and household radiator. Works great and is near-silent.

The ONLY noise is two low-spinning fans on the PSU's and the hdd's noise, which is high whine only since the vibrational noise has also been dealt with.

Might raise a shudder or a grin, depending on your bravery. :)

You should post this up on SPCR, it's genius. If.. well, a gigantic bodge. :D

Given me ideas about recovering certain things from old installs rather than using the overpriced, noisy, inefficient crap sold for PC usage..

This is pure genius!!!!

I will be going down that route eventually but it will be an off the shelf version as it will be in my living room

Nice to see stuff like this!!!

Do you cool the water with a small chiller or is it just ambient cooling.

Cheers

I've thought about that, but I felt the heat output would be so low that you could rely on thermosyphon (gravity circulation) and perhaps have a water tank on top of the case. If you felt like it you could add a pie warmer.
