Hi,

I'm thinking of exchanging my basin to a single (mixer) tapped one. My current basin sits on a pedestal.

Do I have to change the pedestal as well or is there a way to find a sink/basin that fits my current pedestal?

Is this anyhow standardised and any basin works with any pedestal?

Your sink could of had the option of single tap hole or 2 tap hole, the pedestal would of being the same. Just buy a new sink that goes with your pedestal.

OK, thanks for this..

one more question... I need at least 200mm space in the back of the pedestal once installed. This is to accommodate pipes and their coverings that go along the wall.

How do I tell/calculate if a unit (basin + pedestal) will fit my bathroom? (will have at least 200mm space behind)?

Thanks
