What is the best or correct way to felt the roof, it is made from 18mm shuttering ply.
Cheers

I haven't got anything yet as I thought I'd see what you lot recommend, so I get the correct type.

If its on a shed Felt Shingles would look nice. Other than that, any HT felt. The shuttering Ply won't take long to warp if its not in the dry.

If I use HT felt do I need to use brush on adhesive & underlay.

On timber the first layer should be nailed ideally. Adhesives for felt are not the best. Gas gun and torch on is ideal.

in both cases (torch-on and traditional capsheet) you have to apply underlay first- and as Xenon said it should be nailed, personally I will recommend torch-on type

When a bloke was doing a show on how to do it at our roofing merchants, he torched on the unerlay and the cap sheet.

So would i, but i've been using a gas gun for 25 years, i wouldn't advise a layman to do the same.

Underfelt nailed to ply,
Heavyweight mineral felt with cold applied adhesive,
spread between the underfelt and mineral felt,
nailed along the edges,
will work.

Also,
Is it only felt that is being considered?
How about EPDM membrane?
Have you considered this as an alternative to traditional felt?
