I have an old Myson oil boiler which seems to start & run perfectly but the lockout light on both the reset button and the console flicker so fast that they are virtually permanently lit.Any ideas what this could be due to ?
If the lights are neons then they only need a very small current to give a little light.
The fumes from burning oil contain carbon particles, particularly if its not been serviced regularly, and it only needs a very small coating on electrical connections to get the neon to light.
youve probably got a old bho control box, cos the indicator light is fed from said box.
dont worry about it, life goes on.
when it wants to pack in ,it will.
