Hi all

I have been asked to price up a job for a customer of mine (I will be contacting planning but would like a bit of info prior)

He wants a cloak room made into a WC. this will entail digging down 900mm to get required ceiling height, which will then take it below ground level. Then hardcore..sand blinding..100mm insulation, concrete, damp proof walls and floor, install WC and WHB connected off saniflo, 4 spotlights, extractor fan.

Elecs will be part p'd, as a saniflo is being used Will building regs want to see this installation and if so at what stages?

Any advise welcome!

Ceiling!?! I'm assuming you meant formation level/into suitable load bearing strata?

Yes they will and they would expect at the normal stages (e.g. foundation excavation, foundation concrete, DPC, oversite, drains test, etc...). You could get away with doing it under a Building Notice too as it's minor works.
