Hi

I was just looking for some advice on an extension to a L shaped bungalow. I am looking for permitted development under the larger allowances up to may 2019.

My bungalow has 2 rear elevations and I want to extend back from both of them to the allowances given for rear extensions. However, I am not sure if the side elevation wall classes part of this as a side extension which wouldn't be PD. Would appreciate some advice from people with more experience.

Please see attached plan

Many thanks.

That would not be permitted development because it would extend beyond a wall forming a side elevstion and be more than 1/2 the width of the house.

You could shorten the left side so that it doesn't extend past the original right side.
