There's a power station in Wales somewhere which does that.
Except they pump it back at night I think.
the station in Wales is Dinorwic, used for generating electricity at exceedingly short notice, it's used when 2 million kettles are switched on after a good TV programme.

I did some work for somebody a few weeks ago - he is convinced he's created such a machine too. It seems to be a mental aberration.
I asked him how he defeated friction, but he couldn't say.
There's a few on here who certainly know how to create friction.
 
A perpetual motion machine or device is the only invention not allowed under patent laws,,, simply because such a machine/invention cannot possibly work. :wink: :wink: :wink: :wink:
With the one exception of the Inland Revenue tax collection "machine". That never ceases and seems to both accelerate and expand ad infinitum:x
Nah, can't be classed as PM - too much inefficiency.
