Have you ever thought they might be asking them questions just to see who is stealing the ppe supplies

No, its the stuff that is issued to me personally. We don't need to nick stuff, if anything is broken/damaged/shabby looking (visual condition is important) then we get a new for old replacement.

Same with stuff that gets lost...

Its a good policy, if you get given new stuff whenever you need it you are less likely to pinch stuff if the stores are left unlocked.

Most of the bigger stores employ security staff to catch shoplifters it's the smaller stores that can't afford it .
