Hi,

I have a 2002 Peugeot 206 petrol manual car, which needs a new servo fitting. I have bought one and am hoping for some guidance as to how to fit it. I have looked on the web already and people tend to say the same thing: "If you don't know how to do it, take it to a garage".

But I would just like a guide of what to do!

Thanks in advance for any help.

Its not too bad - just access to the pedal pushrod is on the passenger side under the bonnet so disconnect that first.
Then, its a case of releasing the 4 brake pipes to the master cylinder.....undo them and plug the ends against dirt.
Then take off the 2 nuts holding the master cylinder onto the servo and pull it clear.
Then, the servo unbolts from the bulkhead and the master cylinder bolts on to the new servo.
Ideally you are supposed to bleed the system right through from the wheels after the job is done.....it can be done from the top but the best way is to bleed from the bleed nipples at the calipers and wheel cylinders.
Sometimes these have a tendency to snap!
John :)
