Hi All,

Have a X plate 206 HDI, the speedo has stopped working, all other dials etc are working on the cluster, the tripometer / mileometer are still clocking up the miles, under acceleration the needle on the speedo does the tiniest of movementsbut remains on 0, am going to see if its the needle thats come off is spindle but does anyone else have any ideas or suffered the same problem?

Could it still be the speed sensor if its still clocking miles?

hopefully someone can help shed some light

I'm not conversant with Peugeot's but would imagine it's a sensor fault, if it's an electronic speedo.
There will be a rotor and a proximity transducer somewhere.
I suggest you post the question on a Peugeot forum, you should get a definitive answer.

The sensor is on the diff just above where the o/s drive shaft enters, not to difficult to change, one screw and a plug, about £20.00 on ebay. If your mileometer is working though that won't be the problem. It will likely be a dry joint on the instrument panel.
