I have an old gas boiler - a Potterton Kingfisher II RS.80. The piezo ignition unit has failed but everything else is fine. A gas engineer has told me that the part is no longer available. That seems to be true but I can't help thinking that I might be able to find one on eBay or elsewhere or, perhaps more likely, that there may be a generic part available somewhere that would fit. I think the original part number is 407664 (or maybe 407623).

Any thoughts please? Are there any good sources of such parts and/or is my idea of a generic replacement part possible?

Thank you.
