Hi Guys,

I am having problem with my Britony II T water heater. The Pilot went off so i turned it back on like in the book but as soon as I turn the dial past the mid point it goes off again. If I leave the dial half way the pilot stays on but that does not help as heater fire doesn't come on when hot water tap is opened.

Any ideas :?:

Is the mains on?

If so, next most likely is thermocouple but there are other things.
Is it a model with a fan?

 Mains Gas is on
 Water is on
 Pilot does come on (but goes off once dial is twisted past mid point)
 This model does not have any fans (plain simple design with flue)

Thermocouple reqd but can be quite tricky 7mm box spanner or a 7mm socket to release nut under pilot burner

Get yourself a new spark electrode too, always eroded thin and you knock the end off...
