I have fully sanded some internal pine floorboards to bear wood and now I want to treat them but unsure as the best way forward.
I like the idea of a jacobean dark oak colour (i've used a beeswax on the interior doors and it looks great) but I'm concerned about marking on the floor as the doors mark very easily even with a couple of coats.
I hate the look of a gloss/plastic so I want something that looks almost matt but won't mark under medium traffic. Am I able to put on this beeswax (http://www.diy.com/nav/decor/paint/w...-500ml-9253240) and then apply a clear liquid matt varnish once it dries (http://www.diy.com/nav/decor/paint/w...ear-10299603)?
Otherwise would a dark oak danish oil be best?
