Hi Tony, I'm at a Mini c where the fault apears to be dhw flow sensor. Red LED on sensor comes on, pump runs boiler fires momentarily but is satisfied imediately and cuts out, but pump continues to run round DHW route. CH Flow pipe is cold.

If you run a hot tap, good hot water performance.

If you call for heating, you don't get it because dhw flow sensor has wrongly triggered.

If you remove leeds from dhw flow switch heating fires and works correctly.

My question is, in your experience is this just the electronic gizmo flow sensor that is faulty or is there a problem in the brass body of the dhw flow?

Many thanks in anticipation.

You should text if you want a quick answer while on site!

You can pull the hall effect DHW sensor off to get CH. An enterprising cafe owner pulled the sensor outside the casing and gave the staff a magnet to use to get DHW.

The problem is the shuttle inside the brass plug has jammed OR the flow restrictor or its cage has fallen apart. Shuttle can be freed, sometimes needs moulding seams shaved a little to increase clearance. You MUST keep the magnet polarity correct when you reassemble !!!

Bad news, you have to remove the gas valve to get it out !!! Good news it only takes 8 min.

An enterprising non CORGI DIYer once removed the RH hydraulic block instead but thats masochistic !!!
