Hey guys,

I'm wanting to tile my bathroom and I'm going to take the toilet and shower out, then ask someone to fit a new one once I've tiled, but I live in a old conversion into flats, and all the flats share the same toilet waste pipe, and the shower is also linked into this, and now and again if they flush a little to much, it backs up and fills my shower, and stops my toilet flushing away, so i was wondering is there some sort of end i can screw or stick on the toilet waste pipe and the shower drain so nothing comes up and gets all over my floor until l there back in?

And when I do get a new shower, is there some kind of plug i can get to leave in when I'm not in the shower to saving having to clean it before i use it when it does happen?

Thanks
J

Get a drain testing plug for the toilet waste.

When you fit the new shower (or get it fitted) use a HepVO valve, they act as a backcheck valve as well as a trap.

Thats brilliant, thank you so much, I had googled to try find something like that, but could only find an anti siphon valve, and id not get one of those under my shower lol,
