If wanting the visible pipe which connects to a radiator (the rad has not yet been installed) to have a nickel-finish, is it better to

a) connect up the rad with plastic/copper 15mm pipe, but with a nickel-finish shroud placed over the visible pipe before connection

b) connect the rad with 15mm nickel-finish copper pipe and then connect under the floorboards to the plastic/copper pipes.

Thanks.

b) would be my preference but it might be a waste of tube if you've only got a couple of tails to do and it's worth remembering that chromed copper tube doesn't like push fit (you'll need to strip the chrome plating off)

a) is how mine are and I think they look fine. Especially if, as mentioned above, you are only doing a few tails.
