Hi, looking for bit of advice from a plumber type of chap. Im running a woodburning stove that heats hot water and rads, great in winter but i dont want the central heating pump to start at its preset 60 deg so can i set the pipe stat a bit higher in summer so that the tank water gets a bit hotter but the central heating pump wont kick in say set the stat to 70 deg, then at least it will kick in should things get a bit too hot, any problems with this? appreciate the help thanks

Drayton pts 1 will do the trick, have one set to start pump at a temp say 50 this will stop hot water from cylinder being lost into stove whilst warming and then have another set to 90, this will start the pump regardless to act as cooling sahould timeclock etc fail.

personally i prefer my hot water to be warmer in winter than summer, nothing better than a cool shower/bath.
