I am plumbing a mixer shower in my brothers house. I was going to fit an electric shower but thought it easier to fit a mixer as he has a combi boiler.

Can I tap straight into the pipes that feed either his bathroom sink or bath with a t fitting ?

Any dos or dont. All advice appreciated. I have not bought the shower unit yet untill this pipe question is sorted

All you need to do is make sure the shower that you buy is suitable for the high pressure that will be present in the pipes.

Most of the bar type showers will be suitable, or you could go for a Mira excel if you are feeling flush.

It would then be absolutely fine to tee straight into the bath pipes, and connect onto the shower with suitable fittings.

will there be a stoptap on the combi boiler boiler for stopping water or will it be just a matter of turning the main water supply of via mains stop tap
