Evening all!

Found my way here from a Google search and noticed that a lot of work has gone into this forum and you all seem like a friendly bunch!

My predicament:

I would like to use a single PIR as an exit detector for a maglocked door (i.e. I need the circuit to be NO, and NC on detection). The maglock controller software does not allow this to be reversed. Are there any standard (low cost) PIRs that provide this functionality? Would it be possible to wire this up using a standard relay of some kind? Any simple wiring hacks etc.?

Thanks,
Mike

They're really good!!

You could use a curtain pir to the side of the door and put a relay with it to give you the correct output. Try and use a transistorised relay to save the pir's output.
