PIR light for garage

I am looking to put a PIR security light on my garage. Most of the ones available are designed to be connected to a light switch.

Is it possible to connect these to a standard, three pin plug socket? This is the only power source I have got in the garage.

No they're not. They're designed to be connected to an electrical cable, usually black flex or hi-tuff. Where the cable leads to and terminates at the other end, is completely up to the installer . . .
