hi there,
I'm having trouble deciding whether to go for a pitched or flat roof on a dormer extension we're having done.
The flat roof will maximise head room but I'm concerned about the durability of these. We plan on staying in the house for the long term.
I was looking about a pitched roof (say 20 degrees) but again wondered if that is likely to cause problems (leaks) due to the shallow pitch.
Be interested to hear any thoughts/opinions on this?
Cheers,
Huw

There are roof tiles available which go down to 20 ° no problem, you can also get flat roof coverings which would outlive traditional pitched tiled roofs.
