Planning permission for shipping containers?

Hi all,
Im thinking of putting 1 or 2 shipping containers in a small field for use as storage. Do I need planning for this? I would choose green ones as to not annoy the locals. Also what kind of footings/foundation do these need? Should I put them on beams so they have airflow underneath?
Any tips would be greatly appreciated

My giuess is that “change of use” may apply, if nothing else.
