hope you guys can help on this, to the side of my house i have a outbuilding made of fencing and corrugated roof. it runs from the front all he way to the back paralell to the living room. i wish to make a portion parallel to the rear living in to a WC room with cavity wall which i've sent planning for.

Im now contemplating to replace the remaining fenced outhouse with cavity walls and a tiled roof. the space will not be used for anything other than its already being used for. Would i have to resend planning for this or can i can improve the side of house when i commence the WC work?

Just to clarify the current corrugated roofing is metal. If thats make a difference.
The whole area is currently being used for storage, and will carry on to be storage space.

i would appreciate the advice, thanks in advance.

I would say that the rest of the work, although only storage space is still classed as development and will fall under the same criteria as the proposed W.C. etc.

There is a procedure that allows minor amendment without resubmission but it’s unlikely the addition you’re proposing would be viewed as minor so you may have to resubmit. What you propose using the space for makes no difference as far as planning is concerned but in certain circumstances, it may be exempt from Building Regulations; but if I’ve understood correctly & it’s attached to the side of your property Building Regs will apply.

Have you checked if your extension falls within your permitted development?

if it does you won’t need permission anyway but it must still comply with Building Regulations.
