Hi,

renewing all my ceilings soon, which boards should I use, and can anyone suggest a place I can buy them at a good price?

Theres atleast 50 m2 to do.

You can overboard in 9mm but replace with 12.5mm. Replacing with foil-backed will help if you get a lot of condensation in the loft.

1800mm boards are easier to handle, but 2400 board have less joints. Check your joist spacing to see what fits better

And screw don't nail

B&Q give a discount for 10 or more boards, otherwise haggle at the merchants

Cheers fella, got a trade points account the other day, get a good discount, will measure up the joists tomorrow too.

use wickes m8 really goood prices and the price drops 5 or more boards and plaster use 12.5mm boards

B&Q do boards at £4.80 ish if you buy 5 or more. Thats without my trade points discount.
