Just wondering if it is possible/advisable to plaster over MDF. Reason: I have boxed in some pipes using MDF board and would like to smooth over some of the ahem 'rougher' edges that maybe I didn't get quite flush. It would also help with the gaps around the walls where they are not sqaure.

Suggestions appreciated.....

do NOT attempt to skim over mdf. screw some plasterboard to it and skim the plasterboard.

thanks noseall, I had a feeling that it may be the case. I might aswell re-do the boxing in using plasterboard.
