Hi all,

Any ideas what kind of plaster this is? The finish is grey and smooth, about 10mm thick, with an open texture. I was expecting to find gypsum after stripping the paper. but found this instead.

Is it lightweight like browning/hardwall/bonding or hard and Sandy like sand+cement?
British gypsum stuff used to be grey sometimes, depending on quarry it came from I think, not sure if it still happens as not opened a bag of grey bonding or whatever for years. Either that or some kind of render it looks like

Looks like the older type of plaster. British gypsum used to have grey plaster before it became pink.
