I am building an ICF house, starting with the garage. As the walls are polystyrene, I have to cover them with plasterboard to fireproof them. Once it's all boarded, the bottom metre in the garage will be covered with plywood to take all the knocks.
Attaching the plasterboard is no problem as there are fixing strips in the polystyrene to screw into but I am not sure what to do where the plasterboard meets the floor. Obviously I don't want any dampness to come off the concrete floor into the plasterboard so would the best bet be to leave a 5 mm gap between the plasterboard and the floor and fill this with intumescent mastic?
Thanks for your help
Andrew
