I got a stud wall in our new designed bathroom for a shower. Should I put plasterboard on stud wall after installing shower tray? Thoughts?

Plasterboard stud wall before shower tray install?

The wall needs to be boarded before the shower tray installation & don't use plasterboard, use a cement board.

no - just the walls
Personally prefer these to cement boards:

Easier to work with, slightly thermal insulating, not very dusty when cut and lightweight. You'll need specific fixing washers like these: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/350840217868
And you should really use stainless screws. As a side note, I glued the joints in the boards together with this stuff:

When I fix a shower tray I pump a good wodge of silicone against the walls and push the tray onto the silicone.
