Hi,

I've just plasterboarded my ceiling straight to the joists after taking down the original lathe and plaster.

However one of the joists in the middle of ceiling is slightly askew and high.
Its the joist where two boards meet and its about 3-4mm high.
Would a plasterer be able to make this up when skimming?

thx

it would have been better to pack the joist out level before fitting the pb

no matter the plasterer will be able to sort that out for you no problem.

make sure that the plasterboard is uptight and there is nothing preventing it going up level.
I sometimes get a length of wood across the joint and give it a tap with a hammer just in case it's tight on the joint and not gone up flush.
But be careful you have not trapped any electrical cable there.
