Plasterboarding advise please.

This may sound like a stupid question but I’m insulating a single skin garage wall, it’s still going to be a garage, I’m not converting it to a room.

The plasterboard is the foil backed stuff 8x4 sheet. The 50mm kingspan is also 8x4 sheets. What batten spacings do I use? Should I trim the kingspan down?

Don’t use battens. And it’s much cheaper to use separate 50mm celotex/ecotherm etc and standard plasterboard.

if you aren’t experienced with dot and dabbing. This stuff is brilliant, a garage will need about 6 cans

I’ve dot and dabbed the the rest of the garage as it’s internal walls so didn’t need to insulate.

This expanding foam, can I use it for insulation to brick then foil backed plasterboard to insulation? I could always fire some masonry screws though the lot as well?

Yes. It can stick both the boards to the wall and to each other.
