Hi,

I've battened out my room ready to put up the plasterboard but just want to check what I should do about the outside corners around my fireplace.

Does the plasterboard need to be supported directly behind by a batten or will the beading spread any impact and spread it to the batten either side of the corner?

Not sure if that makes any sense....can put up a diagram if needed.....?

Cheers,

Bear with me........

Your end stud should have one board ending on one sideof it and the other board ending on the face at right angles to this one. One board's edge will in effect butt up to the other

The beading will then give you an edge to plaster to.
