Hi,
Hoping for some advice.....
I have just had new bifold doors installed and now need to sort the area around the doors and exposed lintel (see photos).
What's the suggestions for doing this? Do I just build up layers of plaster? Do I attach plasterboard then skim? Do I knock up a wooden frame to fill the gap and attach plasterboard? What to do to make good the area around the door where the expanding foam is? Any other suggestions?
Looking for advice on common practice please.
I will be doing as much of the work as possible myself (after the cost of the bifolds - eek! ) so advice on 'what' and 'how' greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance!

Dab on some plasterboard and skim.

Thanks for reply!
Don't know what made me think it needed to be a more technical solution!
Glad it should be as simples as that.
Will give it a go.
Thanks again

Richhen , I am in exactly same situation as yourself after having a longer lintel and French doors fitted.
Are you able to share some photos of your progress to help out ?
If not can you confirm you had to cut plaster board and dot and dabbed over all exposed sections to create a box then skimmed over ?
What do you do with corners ?
