Me and my son plastered a internall wall abot 5 metres x 1.5 (new boards) on sunday, because of the heat i think it dried to quickly and the result is an un even wall. We intend to try again at the weekend (weather permitting), will i be able to just skim onece then start polishing or will i have to give it 2 skim coats.
We have plastered before to a pretty good standard, but this looks a bit messy!

Any advice

I’ve was plastering most of last week & Monday & I’ve not had any undue problems because of the heat. That's a pretty small wall for 2 & if your skills are OK & it’s going off on you, it may be near end date (did you check the "use by” date on the bag?) or badly stored stock. If it’s that bad, you will need to PVA & a full re-skim but don’t get your plaster from the same place as before!

I rarely buy from builders merchants unless I’m stuck for the odd bag as many of their storage sheds are less than ideal & damp! I always use a B&Q trade store; where I am, they sell it for £3.48 a bag (min 5 bags) which none of the BM’s will match, even with their stupid 60% discount!
