Having taken the old sand/lime plaster off the lower half of our toilet because it was originally tiled how can I get the walls plumb to align with the existing plaster above? Can I use an edging strip set in Hardwall/Bonding and tapped done to get plumb all the way round. Not too worried about the finish as we will re-tile.

BTW; there is a not enough depth to fit plasterboard and the walls are not very straight either.

Yes mate when you use batterns just run a knife or pointing trowel down the sides to avoiding ripping

Oh hardwall for high suction and bonding low suction

So mate and obviously skim before tiling and used sponge float or brush for key

Hi Lee, don’t understand what you mean. You say battens, are you meaning wood? Is was thinking of some using one of the steel edging beads set into Bonding.
